This position is responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance and repair of all patient care equipment, select general maintenance at Dialysis Centers of Northwest Arkansas (DNCA) facilities, purchasing, inventory control and delivery of equipment, supplies, and medications to all chronic and acute locations. This position will spend 75% of the time standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs., and carrying of up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all equipment in the dialysis facilities. Demonstrate ability to maintain all equipment in the dialysis facilities through adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. PMs are performed in a timely manner based on established policies and/or per manufacturer recommendations. Troubleshoots and repairs all equipment as necessary in a cost-effective manner. Repairs are made in a timely manner with staff follow-up to ensure all issues are resolved. Maintains records of all repairs for each piece of equipment. Provide a safe environment for the patients and staff by being knowledgeable on Medicare, OSHA, and AAMI regulations and guidelines in respect to equipment and water systems. Conduct self in a professional manner at all times and understands flexibility is a requirement for this role. Maintains adequate inventory for all DCNA acute and chronic locations. Works with managers regarding procedures for proper inventory control and ordering. Responsible for deliveries for all DCNA locations and works with facilities to minimize extra delivery trips. Provides emergency deliveries to all locations as determined by patient need. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment to perform machine repair and maintains a clean and orderly storeroom at North Hills Dialysis Center. Actively pursues cost savings and efficiencies for supplies and maintenance including new product trials. Provides general maintenance to chronic locations as determined by the Chief Biomed Technician or other maintenance agreements. Demonstrates the ability to work alone without supervision by Chief Biomed Technician. Demonstrates a positive work ethic and demeanor at all times. Understands that a positive working relationship with all DCNA staff is required and further understands that Biomed is a function to support DCNAs overall mission. Participates in staff meetings, in-services, and outside seminars. Completes monthly and yearly education in a timely manner. Other responsibilities and/or duties may be added by the Administrator based on DCNA need. Qualifications Education: High school diploma Licensure and Certifications: Driver`s License & Auto Liability Insurance. Completion of a manufacturer training course for dialysis machines within 9 months of employment. Experience: Experience in equipment repair, inventory control, supply delivery, and purchasing preferred.
