Position Summary The role of the Laboratory Client Services Coordinator reports to the Laboratory Office Manager. This position is responsible for providing administrative and clinical, within the phlebotomy scope of practice, support to the laboratory department and internal and external clients. Essential Position Responsibilities Maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external laboratory clients Perform clerical support duties including registering patients, scheduling appointments, and performing specimen processing Assist with billing, addressing coder referrals and charge audit processes Maintain department inventory in partnership with laboratory leadership Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements by overseeing process and procedure relating to courier logs, specimen transport manifests, and temperature logs Assist with appropriate packaging of documents, patient samples and minor equipment for shipping via commercial courier services Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Licensure and Certifications: Phlebotomy Technician Certification and/or Medical Assistant Certification, preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year experience in medical office billing and coding, required. Minimum of one year experience in outpatient phlebotomy setting, preferred.
