Position Summary This position is responsible for the diagnostic EKG testing, assembling traction as as ordered, and cleaning equipment. In addition, the EKG/Traction employee is responsible for the ordering and billing of special equipment and maintaining departmental records. This position has exposure to body fluids and communicable disease. Licenses/Certifications Required CPR Specific Educational & Skill Competencies Required The position requires good communication skills and the ability to operate standard office equipment as usually demonstrated by the completion of high school studies. The position also requires familiarity with EKG and traction function and equipment as usually obtained through the completion of basic dysrhythmia and BCLS/CPR courses. The employee must be able to read and correctly interpret written and/or oral orders associated with EKG and traction duties.
