Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care to clinic patients that includes but not limited to seeing patients in clinic alongside a physician, changing dressings, removing sutures/staples, performing doppler studies, preparing chart notes in EHR, making outreach calls on post-operative patients, taking inbound calls related to medical questions, authorizing medication refills, scheduling surgery and preoperative appointments, giving surgical instructions to patients, inputting surgical and radiology orders, contacting insurance companies regarding prior authorizations, and more. This position works independently and has exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. This position spends the majority of time standing (up to 60% o work time) with frequent walking of short distances (up to 20% of work time.)

Licenses/Certifications Required RN license or LPN license, CPR

Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required The ability to operate standard nursing practices, as usually demonstrated by completion of a nursing program and obtainment of AR licensure as a RN or LPN. This position must have effective communication skills with patients, co-workers, supervisor and physicians. This position must have good problem solving skills and utilize professional knowledge in this process.
