Position Summary This position is responsible for providing imaging services to patients as ordered by the physician and according to established protocols. This position works independently and has exposure to communicable disease, body fluids and radiation. A variety of age ranges and a culturally-diverse population is served. This position spends the majority of time standing (up to 60% of work time) with frequent walking of short distances (up to 20% of work time). Frequent lifting, pushing/pulling is required when positioning patients and equipment. This position also requires phlebotomy, handling and ordering lab testing and performing POC lab tests and resulting, pulmonary function testing, performing EKGs and assisting in other areas as necessary. Licenses/Certifications Required ARRT Registered with an AR State Licensure or ARRT registry eligible with temporary AR state licensure; BCLS certification is required. Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required Requires knowledge of radiology practices as generally associated with graduation from an accredited radiology program, Arkansas License, and ARRT registry. The ability to work with minimal supervision, as usually demonstrated by at least one year previous experience in a similar clinical setting, is required. Also requires a trained phlebotomist, with a minimum of 6 months of on the job training in a similar setting.
