Position Summary:

PC Tech I is an entry level tech position responsible for installing and maintaining multiple hardware components and applications, in addition to assisting in triage, troubleshooting, support, and resolution of customer issues at the helpdesk. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the Windows operating system, knowledge of typical Microsoft applications (Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and the ability to perform common software and hardware installation tasks. Familiarity with basic Windows Domain Services Active Directory and networking concepts is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with senior techs and admins to learn and support multiple systems at a helpdesk I level
  • Create, update, and triage helpdesk tickets
  • Work directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely and on-site
  • Support multiple devices including endpoint computers/laptops, printers, and scanners
  • Assist with device imaging and replacement

  • Full time availability during scheduled shift

  • Thrive in a fast-paced 24/7 setting
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical customers
  • Interact well within a team environment and support other team members
  • Document correctly (tickets and knowledgebase)
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of helpdesk support system (ticketing)
  • Sit for extended periods, walk short distances, able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to travel to remote locations
  • Scheduled on-call rotation
  • Occasional scheduled work on different shifts

Preferred Experience

  • Two (2) years related work or educational experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Lansweeper preferred

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • CompTia A+ and/or Network+ preferred
