Position Overview

The role of the EVS Tech I is responsible for the daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices and other areas as assigned.

Required Education & Experience - Not required. Healthcare cleaning experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Position requires the ability to interact in a positive manner with coworkers, patients and their families.
  • This position has exposure to industrial strength cleanings chemicals, body fluids and communicable diseases.
  • The majority of work time is spent standing and walking (approximately 80% of work time)
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25-50-lbs.(approximately 20% of work time) is required.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of medical equipment and the EVS supply cart is required.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders.
  • Must have ability to learn Teletracking software and use approved electronic devices.
  • Must have a reasonable grasp of the English language with the ability to read, write and follow directions provided in English.
  • The ability to perform other duties as assigned by EVS leadership.
