- The Automation Engineer will be responsible for identifying automation opportunities to improve our existing processes and leading their implementation in a manufacturing environment that primarily makes lids, liners, for plastic coolers.
- The position will require approximately 50% of the engineers time to be spent on the manufacturing floor evaluating and executing improvements. Ideally, they want a mid level engineer for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 2+ years of experience as Automation or Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment 2+ years of experience programming & troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC`s Experience programming Fanuc robots Experience troubleshooting HMI`s Strong electrical system troubleshooting skills Experience with Continuous Improvement projects BS in Electrical Engineering or related DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Experience with injection or blow molding, or plastics manufacturing Experience integrating robots Experience with high volume manufacturing with fast cycle times Experience with project management Experience with Solidworks or AutoCAD Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Principles such as DMAIC, SPC, Cpk, GR&R, Control Plans, DOE, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Factory, TPM, Kaizen, JIT, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, or SMED Education: University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
