Financial Planner (CFP). New York, NY. Our client is a thriving, well-respected RIA / Wealth Management firm with offices in NYC and Palm Beach. The New York team has an opening for an experienced, client-focused Financial Planner to formulate and implement holistic financial planning advice and partner with internal and external stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities of the Financial Planner: The Financial Planner focuses on assigned High Net Worth (HNW) clients and works closely with an internal portfolio manager. Responsibilities include: Relationship Management: Be a point of contact for a number of High Net Worth (HNW) clients, ensuring long-term relationships and ongoing customer care. Financial Plan development: Based on a clients goals and circumstances, create comprehensive and holistic financial plans inclusive of: - Defining clients goals and objectives - Income Tax Planning - Balance Sheet - Risk Management and Insurance - Retirement, Education and Special Needs - Cash Flow Statement - Estate Planning - Investment Planning Client Service: Provide exceptional, consultative client service Prepare customized presentations and materials for individual client meetings QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications of the Financial Planner: 2-6 years experience in comprehensive financial planning with a demonstrated ability to partner with internal stakeholders and High Net Worth (HNW) client relationships. Specific experience with tax and/or insurance planning is a plus. Holds the CFP designation Experience either presenting at or participating in client meetings Bachelors degree in finance or related discipline Strong demonstrated Financial Planning interest, acumen and judgment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify difficult financial concepts for a non-financial audience Familiar with financial planning software; experience with eMoney is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel. Tech-savvy.
