Our client, a 150-year-old award-winning winning and one of the largest independently owned paperboard packaging companies is looking for a Finishing Department Manager. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department, including Safety, Product Quality, Material Waste, and Labor. Will also be involved in Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Capital Investment, and Organizational Development.
-Operational responsibility for the department. Directs and leads the department to meet objectives: QUALIFICATIONS
-Develop and manage the departments operating budget, capital spending, strategic planning and inventory. Responsible for managing the
Supervises Managers and others in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws
Manage and implement safety initiatives
Ensure quality standards are being met
Participate in the Preventative and Corrective Action process
Participate in Research and Development activities
Create a culture that encourages participation, innovation, and process improvement. Foster an environment of commitment and teamwork
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
Instill a culture of openness, honesty, integrity through solid associate relation practices and communication
-5+ years of management.
-Folding Carton experience mandatory.
-Knowledge of Bobst or International gluers is a huge plus.
