We are hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. Responsibilities for Accounting Manager

Oversee, manage and perform general accounting functions, including, but not limited oversight of: Billing and accounts receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, intangibles, revenue recognition and the monthly accounting close schedule

Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations

Maintain accounting controls and define, maintain, and apply accounting policies and procedures

Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end financial statement audit

Prepare and analyze financial statements/reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness

Partner with the business leaders to gain and provide insight into the operations and strategic plan for the leadership

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Perform special projects and ensure timely completion and accuracy

Assess current practices, procedures, and internal controls. Make recommendations for improvements where applicable

Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Accounting Manager

Bachelor`s degree in Accounting is required.. CPA preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role. Public Accounting experience preferred.

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and GAAP accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization

Ability to direct and supervise team and influence business. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results

Ability to manipulate and draw conclusions from large amounts of data

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Sage/Intacct preferred, as well as industry specific financial systems.
