JOB DESCRIPTION

Immediate need for a Quality Assurance Manager within a division of a large multi-billion dollar global business in the food production industry. This is a high volume, 24/7 facility, with strong growth. In this role youll lead quality control & quality assurance (manufacturing + laboratory).

Key focus of the role:

  • Lead product safety and quality while meeting company and regulatory standards with oversight responsibility for a continuous quality improvement program (quality control/quality assurance).
  • Oversee the operations of a plant laboratory (supplies/equipment)
  • Drives Continuous Improvement efforts in product quality/performance and process optimization.
  • Provides inputs to Customer Comments Log and complaint root cause investigation.
  • Implements and manages Vendor Compliance with Purchasing.
  • Communicates quality metric and inspection results including microbial to appropriate managers and others in leadership positions including, but not limited to daily, weekly or monthly reporting.
  • Ensures that proper sanitation procedures are utilized and that adequate sanitation tests are performed. Can provide troubleshooting in the event of a sanitation issue within the plant.
QUALIFICATIONS

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors Required
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance
  • 1+ years supervisory experience desired
  • SQF Practitioner, PCQI or HACCP certification preferred
  • Grasp of microbiological/food safety practices and terminology
  • Strong team player or leader with the ability to work across multiple functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout the plant and across the organization

Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
