A large dairy operation located in Texas is searching for an experienced Herd Manager. The successful candidate must have a passion for dairy, be self motivated, and confident in their knowledge and skills to run things on their own. Candidate must possess strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision making skills. The Herd Manager will be working with the Owners, Vets, and other members of the management team. Must have strong herd health skills and maternity experience. Will also oversee the breeding and feeding programs, along with oversee Dairy Comp and EZ Feed reports. QUALIFICATIONS MUST HAVE CURRENT DAIRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
- Previous Supervisory experience
- Herd Management experience
- Strong Communication skills
- Leadership / Motivational skills
- Strong decision making / organizational skills
- Feed / nutrition knowledge a plus
- Maternity experience
- Strong Herd Health experience
- Breeding experience a plus
- Basic Computer experience
- Must be able to speak Spanish Education:
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
