Quality Manager Food Industry

Location: SW Wisconsin

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 / year + annual bonus opportunity

The Quality Manager will oversee the quality systems, inspection and testing at the SW Wisconsin plant to assure compliance and conformance with relevant requirements for federal and state regulations, SQF, customer and internal quality standards, policies, programs, specifications, and functions. The QA Manager will collaborate with plant operations, production staff, customers and suppliers to ensure quality and minimize rework or waste.

• Manage QA department to ensure the safety and quality of raw material and packaged products
• Recruit, direct, coach, lead and supervise all QA personnel constantly raising the standard of performance.
• Assist in driving quality standards on the production floor.
• Implement and monitor the companys Quality Assurance Program at the facility
• Process test the ingredients and ensure that the specifications are met and adhered to
• Monitor raw materials
• Prepare and manage laboratory budget.
• Research and provide analytical results on customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Conduct internal, vendor and contract manufacturing audits as required.
• Ensure compliance with all company, state, federal and international safety and regulatory policies and practices

What we need from you:

• Bachelors Degree in Animal Science, Life Science, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years previous manufacturing QA Management experience.
• 4+ years of lab experience; strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
• Confident problem solver with quick decision-making capability.
