Our client is headquartered in Douglasville, GA, which is on the Western edge of Atlanta. They just went public in June 2021 and are building the accounting department with SEC experienced accounting professionals. They are still a small company culture and are busy with new acquisitions and of course building the accounting team to support the new regulatory requirements of being a public company. JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for an experienced, hands-on accounting leader looking to build and own all aspects of public company reporting and compliance. This position will establish and streamline SECreporting, assist with the implementation of the first year Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) program, implement core systems managing external reportingandcompliance, and develop public company technical accounting policies. The Director will own and manage the internal and external SEC financial reporting process,including preparation of Forms10-Q,10-K,8-K and11-K and other financial reporting and governmental statutory reporting,asrequired. Additional responsibilities expected to help build the SEC reporting department for this newly public traded company. QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with experience working for a national public accounting firm
- CPA required.
- Direct experience with the SEC registrants and technical accounting relating to public company operations required.
- Direct experience with PCAOB standards, SOX requirements and COSO Framework required.
University - Bachelor`s Degree/3-4 Year Degree
