The employer is looking for individuals with strong leadership skills for all their open positions.
This position functions as the VP to the Executive Chef. Therefore, the Executive Sous should be able to confidently step in for the Executive Chef. The successful candidate must fully understand and have ability to work all stations in the kitchen and step in as needed. This will include BOH staff leadership, training, scheduling, and management. They must also understand all recipes and ensure the kitchen is meeting production targets. As a working manager, the Executive Sous Chef will still cook.
Responsible for all kitchen functions including:
preparation and maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness
training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion, cost control, and sanitation and cleanliness. QUALIFICATIONS
Will need to obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment
High school diploma and minimum of 4 years experience
Culinary management training/experience required
ServSafe certification preferred
Experience with banquets a major plus
