The employer is looking for individuals with strong leadership skills for all their open positions.
The line cook is responsible for complete, accurate and timely food preparation, cooking and presentation. The best candidate will:
Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
Know and follow all company standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
Stock and maintain sufficient amounts of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including all surfaces, tools and equipment.
Prepare items for appropriate cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
Complete food preparation assignments as needed.
Close the kitchen properly and assist others in closing the kitchen as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chef/Kitchen Manager or shift manager. QUALIFICATIONS
Will need to obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment
high school diploma and 1-2 years cooking experience and 6 months to 1 year similar experience perferred
ServSafe certification preferred
