JOB DESCRIPTION

Sales Manager- Charlotte, NC

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Join the leader in Specialty AGV manufacturing! Company is looking to the best and brightest to drive sales growth while providing the highest level of customer service.

The AGV Sales Managers role is to consult with clients and grow sales in our target markets. Tactical activities include analyzing potential leads, developing a commercial solution/concept, preparing the proposal, converting the opportunity, and managing customer expectations before and after the sale. Responsible for general day to day AGV sales activities - working both independently and as a team to exceed customer expectations. The AGV Sales Manager shall build and maintain customer relationships and the Company reputation as a quality trusted automation solutions provider.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and develop new accounts and opportunities to row sales.

Strong sales skills (listening, communication, clarity, ambition)

Own the sales and qualification process driving the project and all support needed to win.

Align internal resources for system designs, concepts, drawings and engineering support to provide winning proposals in a timely manner.

Be highly responsive and reliable providing Gold-Star level service to our customers.

Maintain a deep understand of Scotts technologies, capabilities and target markets.

Maintain all sales activity in Salesforce CRM. Provide weekly feedback to manager about pipeline and forecasts.

Work as a liaison between Scott and the Client driving handover documents and meetings to ensure seamless management and high execution.

Keep abreast of market trends, requirements and competition; become a solutions expert and innovator.

Actively contribute to the sales strategy and business development plans including their implementation and accompanying marketing plans.

Travel to customer sites, tradeshows and other locations as needed to provide high-level service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimum bachelors degree in business or a technical discipline

Preferred three (3) years direct experience in AGV sales or related experience in material handling, forklift, or industrial automation sales.

Prefer existing network with significant key contacts in the materials handling market

Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.

Ability to create concept drawings using AutoCAD or similar is a big plus.

Existing skills in or ability to learn to make preliminary throughput calculations and battery capacity estimates.

Understanding of basic sensor concepts commonly used in a factory automation setting.

Demonstrated success in writing sales proposals for capital goods, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.

Able to travel as needed.
