JOB DESCRIPTION

The Radar Solutions Engineer will be responsible for Radar business expansion by identifying and assessing customer challenges, providing technical briefings and engagements, collaborating with team members to develop compelling solutions and winning proposals.

Essential Functions

Engage with customers to understand and shape requirements
Serve as liaison between internal teams and customers to assess specific needs and offer and/or develop solutions.
Radar application assessments, including detection, tracking, and object classification performance predictions.
Support the development of Statements of Work and respond to Requests for Information and Solicitations.
Identify new product and product enhancement opportunities.
Use technical knowledge to support and build solutions and sales.
Provide on-site radar engineering and operations support (land and shipboard systems)
Support site integration and test activities
Radar systems level integration, test, troubleshooting and repair
Development and updates to radar system & subsystem user documentation and drawings
Prepare various documents and reports as needed.
Stay current on relevant technology trends.

Qualifications

Technical degree (computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or engineering) or equivalent experience in a related field.
Solid understanding of radar system functionality, performance limitations, and radar applications in the land, sea, and air domains.
Demonstrated ability to develop, cultivate and manage customer relationships
Identify and pursue emerging opportunities such as RFPs, BAA`s, SBIRs, and IRADs
High level critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems
Minimum 5-10 years experience is preferred.
Strong sales and service skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
High level of patience and service.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to motivate team members.
Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office. Matlab and Linux experience is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
