POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include processing customer orders, entering complaints, and processing credits. This position will work closely with sales, supply chain, production, accounting, quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Process customer orders accurately and follow them from order entry through final delivery
  • Handle customer questions and inquiries in a quick, accurate, and professional manner; ensuring all issues are communicated to customer and customer service manager
  • Work closely with the planning, shipping and 3rd party logistics to ensure customer orders are filled in a timely and accurate manner; Communicate current order status to the customer
  • Plan, organize, and ensure proper execution of the entire order management process in a consistent, professional, and timely manner for all assigned accounts
  • Enter complaints, process credits and freight claims
  • Communicate directly with customers, probing to identify their needs associated with existing orders plus initial qualification of new product requests; Work with internal resources to ensure rapid response to these needs and apprising the sales force of potential leads
  • Secure and process customer orders as directed by CSM; Responsible for ensuring prices are correct on all orders
  • Receive and respond to requests from existing and potential customers in regard to product information and apprise the appropriate business unit of potential leads
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards
  • Perform other related duties as necessary


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-5 years previous customer service required; Experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred, but not required
  • BS/BA degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent problem-solving abilities, show great attention to detail, and have strong follow-up skills
  • Fluency (written and verbal) in English required
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft office products and ERP systems
