Set up and operate thermoplastic injection molding machines. Make tooling changes as required to meet the demands of the Production area. Clean and perform daily preventative maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment, as required.
Effective experience as a molding machine operator/technician. Familiar with a variety of thermoplastic molding compounds especially thermoplastic urethanes and elastomers. Capable of using a micrometer or calipers to accurately measure product and/or tooling.
Function as a participating team member.
Meet efficiency and quality standards.
Inspect the molded product for visual defects and make changes to correct the deficiencies.
Ensure machines are in good working order.
Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
Other duties as assigned
Lift and carry 40 pounds (with assistance if required)
Intermittent sitting, standing and walking
Vision sufficient to accurately measure in thousandths of an inch.
