CAMPUS SECURITY SPECIALIAST

The candidate for this position will work second shift and will be responsible for monitoring cameras and intrusion detection systems, computerized access control systems, dispatching officers or vendors, and responding to calls and managing assignments after business hours. The candidate will be the point of contact for vendors, employees, and the alarm monitoring company to report intrusion alarms, security disturbances, breaches, and general building issues. The candidate will also be responsible for reacting to and resolving security incidents. The candidate will also escort employees to and from their vehicles after business hours and perform foot patrols of the entire HQ campus.

Requirements for the position include a high school diploma and a valid Kansas drivers license. Prior security experience is preferred and conflict resolution skills are required. The candidate must have exceptional observation and decision-making skills, be proficient with Microsoft applications, and have effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The ability to work late and/or flexible hours is required.
