Job Summary:
Buck Company is looking for a Controller to join our team in Quarryville, PA! The right candidate must have 5-10 years of general accounting and 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The Controller will be responsible for preparing the monthly financial statements, ledgers, reports, and taxes, as well as financial reporting package.
The Controller reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly and assists with an annual audit. Interacting with multiple departments is essential in this role. The ideal candidate would have a strong attention to detail and a professional, positive attitude. Responsibilities:
- Candidate will prepare financial statements, review and analyze general ledger balances, prepare monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit and loss statements for business units; analyze and evaluate financial data, standard costing and pricing.
- Prepare management reports and make recommendations.
Competencies:
- Minimum of 3 years in senior level accounting in the manufacturing industry required
- 5-10 years of experience in general accounting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with B&L Odyssey or similar ERP platform
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required
- Proven leadership ability to manage a small team
- Foundry experience is a plus
