Description

Bearon Manufacturing is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Landisville, PA! Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in a machine shop. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements. Associates degree in engineering or related work experience a plus.

  • Communicates directly with the engineering and operations team.
  • Self-check completed assignments and cross check co-workers completed assignments.
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to insure manufacturability of product.
  • Coordinate activities assignments produce quality work and meet time schedule.
  • Participate in the generation of new designs from concept, taking into consideration manufacturability and cost.
  • Support standard product lines and job-shop type work.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer drawings
  • Ability to write reports and speak in front of groups
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Communicate effectively with both written and oral skills
