We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in Chestertown, MD on the Eastern Shore. If you`re an organized and detail oriented individual with a positive attitude, this could be the job for you! A Bachelor`s or Associate`s degree is required and strong computer skills are a must.
The Buyer will be involved in all aspects of purchasing with domestic as well as international suppliers. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing and tracking purchase orders through the purchasing process; inputting inventory orders, price changes and updates into the purchasing system; preparing and filing purchasing related documents. Additional responsibilities include procuring materials, equipment and services; ensuring contracts with suppliers are consistent with corporate objectives and participating in contract negotiations with top negotiators.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review and track purchase orders through the purchasing process.
- Input inventory purchase orders, price changes and system updates
- Prepare and file purchasing related documents
- Procure materials, equipment and services
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Assist with special projects as needed
