Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines. Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States. Air Wisconsin`s team is dedicated to making our travelers experiences safe and pleasant.

The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of all Company insurance benefit programs which includes the salaried employee group and five union employee groups.

Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinates current insurance benefit programs for the Company such as medical, health savings accounts, dental, vision, life and flexible spending accounts.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for day to day benefit related inquiries.
  • Acts as a liaison between employees and insurance carriers to handle eligibility and claims issues, which requires high level knowledge of our benefit plans.
  • Responsible for working with outside vendors on troubleshooting issues with benefit plans.
  • Administers benefit information within our HRIS to include coordinating testing new releases with the team and other departments.
  • Responsible for overseeing dependent coverage eligibility per federal and ERISA guidelines to include full-time student status and child support orders.
  • Coordinates and performs new hire orientations and other benefit related presentations to educate leaders and employees.
  • Assists with benefit related education to include benefit materials and required notices.
  • Assists in the coordination of open enrollment to include preparing all materials and presenting benefit information to employees.
  • Serve as a member of the HIPAA Compliance Team to ensure compliance with federal regulations including training to applicable employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating benefit information within the Company intranet site.
  • Participates in the administration of our 401(k) plans to include importing deferral elections and annual audit of plans.
  • Assists with department audits.
  • Assists with department invoices to include investigating pay discrepancies.
  • Assists the disability area as needed. * Perform additional job duties as assigned.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility. * Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.

  • Bachelors degree with an emphasis in the area of accounting, business, finance or Human Resource Management required
  • Experience in benefit administration in a union environment preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience working with self-funded and other insurance benefits required
  • Strong oral skills to include experience with speaking in front of groups of employees
  • Excellent writing and editing communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet and HRIS
