Mechanical Reliability Engineer
INVISTA is seeking a Reliability Mechanical Engineer at our Camden, SC site who will be responsible for developing and implementing optimum reliability strategies for site assets. This position has a high level of autonomy and requires a self-starter with a proactive approach to identify and complete critical tasks. Strong engineering aptitude, organization, prioritization and planning skills; including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is required. Ability to effectively communicate complex issues with the business at all levels is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to improve the reliability of the sites mechanical systems and equipment by defining and optimizing maintenance plans, identifying, developing and implementing improvement projects, defining and managing equipment inspections and insuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements. This position will act in a manner consistent with INVISTA values/principles/policies. Responsibilities generally include:
Responsible for insuring EHS compliance of the equipment and insuring safe and environmentally compliant operation.
Provide Reliability Engineering support to Maintenance and Operations
Maintain understanding of current and emerging reliability centered maintenance (RCM) technologies and evaluate their applicability to site programs
Support site safety and training initiatives (maintain maintenance / engineering job procedures, participate in RCA incident investigations)
Perform engineering functions as determined by expertise and experience (machine design and equipment modification specialist)
Prepare and execute design packages that will improve safety and operability of the plant
Collect, track and analyze reliability data on site equipment and continuously work to improve equipment reliability while minimizing maintenance cost.
Provide engineering design support to site capital projects, particularly with respect to Maintenance and Reliability
Work in a team environment with operators, mechanics, and exempt professionals
Experience and Skills Required:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance engineering experience
Experience and Skills Preferred:
Experience in Maintenance and Reliability Engineering
CMRP Certification
PMP Certification
Experience in high speed fiber/extrusion process areas and equipment
SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module experience
