CO OP PROCESS OPERATOR

CO-OP Process operators are responsible for operating equipment to safely produce chemical products according to specified operating procedures while maintaining environmental compliance and reporting standards. Co-op Process Operators are assigned to production units, and may be required to move from one production unit to another. Co-op Process Operators work a 12-hour rotating shift (5 am - 5 pm & 5 pm - 5 am); unless conflicting with class scheduling requirements.

BACKGROUND REQUIRED

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid and Current government issued drivers license
  • Must have completed at least one year of a two year associates degree in Process Technology at a university with an accredited Process Technology Program and currently pursuing completion.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Associate degree in Process Technology

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (with or without reasonable accommodation) AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Co-op Process Operators work a rotating 12-hour shift (unless conflicting with class scheduling requirements). Work schedule is subject to change with notification, depending upon business needs. Additionally, process operators must be available to work scheduled (planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, and holidays as needed), to meet business needs
  • Required to wear any or all of the following Personal Protective Equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, Nomex, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, and respirators. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task
  • Work under the following conditions: Confined spaces, congested areas, and extreme inclement weather
  • Climb stairs, ladders on columns, ladders and scaffolds
  • Lift and/or move up to 50lbs

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Applicants will be tested for ACT WorkKeys and must score at the required levels on two WorkKeys tests (Locating Information & Applied Technology)
