Description:
This position will be responsible for coordinating all land work related to oil and gas acquisition and development. Conducts and oversees records checks, title examinations and curative, lease negotiations, and settles damage claims. Negotiates farm-ins, farm-outs, acreage trades and other exploration and development activities as well as maintaining co-owner and community relationships. Supervises field brokers and outside counsel.
Requirements:
Requirements include a Bachelors degree with preference given to JD or Petroleum Land Management and CPL certification, with a minimum ten (10) years of experience in oil and gas exploration and development work in the Appalachian region strongly preferred; familiarity with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies; comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas titles, joint venture contracts, operating agreements, unit agreements, farmout agreements, and project management. Strong oral and written communication skills, financial skills including prospect economic analysis, and the ability to handle multiple projects are required Action oriented and seeks out challenges and seizes opportunities. Gains trust quickly of other parties to negotiations. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
