Human Resources Generalist-Elmira, NY area A leading world wide manufacturer of consumer products is seeking a Human Resources professional to join their team. This position will be responsible for staffing and policy administration for a 24/7union plant. DUTIES: Responsibilities for this position include recruitment, placement and movement of salary and hourly employees. Report to HR Manager. This position will also be responsible for educating/training employees at all levels about company rules, policies, benefits and procedures. Promote and insure positive employee relations throughout the manufacturing plant. Will handle lower level grievances, complaints and employee issues. Coordinate Benefits, OSHA and EEO/AAP policy. This position will manage the companys job bid system, disciplinary procedures, attendance programs and coordinate employee training. Maintain all Human Resource records and documentation. REQUIREMENTS: 4 year degree required. PHR certification desired. Must have 3-6 yrs Human Resource Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment-preferably a union facility. Strong in recruiting and staffing hourly and salaried positions. Experienced with employee training at all levels-operators, supervisors and managers. Experienced with Benefit Administration. Experienced with Safety and OSHA policies. Knowledge of Fed, State and Local laws/policies. Experienced in Microsoft Office Products and basic knowledge of one or more HR software systems preferred. Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment desired. Send resume as Word doc attachment.
