THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Nurse Practitioner needed for outpatient psychiatric clinic. NP will be responsible for assessment, intakes, and medication management of patients in conjunction with the care team which includes a psychiatrist, nursing staff, social worker, and the practitioner. NP will order and evaluate labs and diagnostic tests, handle admissions and discharges, and attend care meetings for all patients. BACKGROUND PROFILE: Iowa RN license and Nurse Practitioner license or the ability to be licensed in the state of Iowa Strong medical background with good general assessment skills Must be certified through the ANCC Background in psychiatric nursing, either as APN or RN Prefer someone with at least 3 years experience but will consider less experience with strong references and work history in psychiatry.
