Position Summary
SUMMARY:

The Area Sales Director DAS Solutions (ASD) will be responsible for the sales of Indoor and Outdoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to all customers within the defined geographic area. The incumbent will work to develop, prospect and maintain customer relations with all regional wireless carriers in addition to other communication companies (including consultants and third parties supporting these carriers) that require clients DAS products and services within the designated market. The DAS Solutions Area Sales Director will maintain frequent customer contact across multiple organizations (Site Acquisitions, Real Estate, Radio Frequency (RF) Planning, Operations and Regional Management) to gain information on customers DAS business initiatives, critical DAS projects and build/expansion plans which may be supported by DAS and organizational metrics.


Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Closing new contracts and achieving lease-up sales targets and objectives.

Forecast and report on DAS sales and pre-application pipeline development.

Participate in the creation and execution of the Area and customer DAS sales account plan. This includes building and implementing sales strategies with the National Account Vice Presidents and other client stakeholders that solve customer coverage and capacity challenges.

Maintain knowledge on current on competitive trends and wireless technology evolution including macro tower, indoor and outdoor DAS solutions.

Collaborative and partner with the Business Development Territory Managers as well as internal stakeholders to win new business that meets the clients market objectives.

Identify and drive all new DAS opportunities including new in-building venues and outdoor venues within the Area.

Lead with the support of the DAS business group to create the sales strategy and value proposition for pro-active customer proposals and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.

Drive all leasing initiatives for all existing DAS properties within the Area.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Goal oriented with a successful sales track record
Ability to negotiate agreements and develop creative solutions
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels within the company and externally.
Highly consultative sales orientation with experience selling/closing complex solutions to all levels in a customer organization
Active listener with the ability to represent and communicate customer opportunities and challenges to key clients stakeholders.
Strong technical background with the ability to shape customer requirements with the clientssolution
Has management/director level contacts in several wireless service providers
Understands wireless service providers operational organizations, the key roles and responsibilities with a successful track record selling into these teams
Pro-active, creative seller with experience selling value based propositions
Safe driving record and own transportation, valid drivers license
Must be able to travel unassisted

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) year Bachelors degree required
Ten (10) years of wireless service provider operational management experience (i.e. - Engineering, RF planning, Site Development, Operations) with some related sales experience or
Ten (10) years of technical product and/or services sales experience selling complex solutions to wireless service providers required

ENVIRONMENT:

Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 50% travel to potential acquisition/deployment sites or target companies offices in support of the positions responsibilities.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and finger to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
