Regional Medical Center is a 359-bed acute care facility dedicated to serving the residents of Ventura County, the Greater Conejo Valley and its surrounding communities. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is a member of numerous local, state and national health professional organizations.
With 480 physicians on its medical staff representing over 30 medical specialties, the facility offers a full array of medical services including a 24-hour emergency department, ICU/CCU, maternity, neonatal intensive care unit, medical and surgical departments, comprehensive cancer center, heart center, same day surgery, transitional care unit, rehab center, and senior behavioral health.
Built in 1968, this Regional Medical Center is currently in a $120 million master plan expansion program, which will feature a 200,000 sq. ft. patient wing with 90 private rooms, a new lobby, patient admitting area, private consultation areas, and expanded department locales.

Job Summary: The Director of Emergency Services is a registered nurse who reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The Director of Emergency Services is responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily functions of the Emergency Department, and maintaining the highest degree of patient care in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, as well as regulations that govern this facility. Requirements: - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing - BSN desired; MSN preferred - Current California Registered Nurse License - Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR card - Supervisory experience, with demonstrated executive abilities and leadership qualities- 3-5 years of experience required; Trauma experience is preferred
