Our client is (www.digi-star.com) a manufacturer of electronic scales for various agricultural markets. As a result of continued growth and the purchase of a series of patents they are searching for a Market Manager in the Precision Farming/Seeding markets. The former President Al Hannam has been brought back to work with us on filling this position. This person will become the Director of Sales & Marketing in 3 to 5 years.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will work with dealers and OEMs in developing the application and market of scales and software used on seeders, planters, and seed tenders. Will develop and train distribution networks and perform market evaluations. Travel estimated at 30% to 40%.
REQUIREMENTS: BS degree in a technical field or marketing / business. Experience and knowledge of Precision Ag systems related to seeding and planting. 5-8 years of Sales or Product Management experience and demonstrated leadership skills. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite. For someone that was not born and raised on a farm to receive serious consideration, he/she will have to have at least 8 years experience selling electronic devices (controls, sensors, scales etc) to the AG O.E.M. markets.
