REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Eastern Region

CLIENT PROFILE : Our client is well-established, privately held and an industry leader in the providing Lubrication Management Solutions offering both services and products. They serve many, many industries such as Oil (Refining Petroleum Drilling), Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Wastewater, Chemical Processing, General Manufacturing, etc., etc. . . . . any place where industrial lubrication is utilized.
This is a family owned company that values ethics, principles and competitiveness. They are very knowledgeable, professional in their approach and focused on the objectives. It is a fast paced environment requiring an ability to juggle multiple tasks.
JOB SUMMARY : Within a multistate region (Eastern Region), youll have the responsibility to develop and achieve the strategic regional goals that are reflective of the overall corporate objectives. You will develop the Business Plan and spearhead its implementation. The individual we seek will need to be a strong HUNTER finding the business opportunities and establishing the accounts. Subsequently you will eventually be hiring people under you to do more account FARMING within a defined territory. Youll work with multiple types/sources to achieve the objectives end users, distributors, catalog/internet leads, and OEMs. This is an opportunity to build upon the current business base, be the primary new business facilitator by implementing a new core strategy and, with significant independence, oversee the regional growth. Develop the client base, build the regional sales, manage the growth and develop a Team to bring about further penetration. This position offers base, plus bonus incentives and benefits. Reports to the Director of Sales.
QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW We seek someone who knows they are an A player and has the track record of accomplishment to prove it. They should be competitive, confident and aggressive but not arrogant, overbearing or offensive. Should be comfortable in a tie while making a presentation to the GM but know their way around and at ease on the shop floor.
>> MUST HAVE 10 plus years of strong current INDUSTRIAL SALES EXPERIENCE. Highly prefer that the experience includes both product and service sales. While the customer base is broad, experience and contacts within the oil & gas industries would be of significant interest. >> Knowledge of Asset Reliability, Maintenance Reliability and Predictive Maintenance is strongly desired. Some specific knowledge of Lubrication Systems should be evident. >> MUST BE self-motivated, independent and a take charge of the situation sort of person with an attitude of making it happen. >> MUST BE willing to travel 60% which includes regular overnight. >> MUST already reside in the Eastern Region (specifically in the NYC, Philadelphia, New Jersey area) and MUST have a rolodex of contacts in the region. >> Any applicable certifications such as MLT 1 is a plus. Need to be willing to learn and obtain industry certification. >> A BS degree is highly preferred.
