Key element to succeed for this position is to have experience with a larger Engineering and Construction (EPC/AEC/EPC) type firm like Bechtel or Fluor, etc. selling full design and construction services of fossil fueled power plants. Position open because of the promotion of the incumbent! This well-established global company is a leader in the design and construction of everything from small cogeneration plants, to large coal, oil and other fossil-fueled, nuclear, and advanced technology facilities. The firm has completed projects for over 170 fossil-fueled generating units totaling over 70,000 MW, the majority of which were at new facilities or expansions for major utility companies. This EPC firm is also an industry leader in the engineering of cogeneration, merchant, combined cycle, and resource recovery plants. The firms activities encompass the entire spectrum of technical and project management services, from project planning through start-up and operation, and extending to decommissioning and dismantlement. They add value in the area of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) performance, as well as in the individual areas of engineering, procurement, and construction management. You will lead and be responsible for developing Marketing and Sales strategy to support the businesses and financial goals for the Fossil Division and develop individual project bids and proposals to increase revenue and profit by directing sales and marketing activities, accurately estimating volume and profit potential and accomplishing sales objecting. You will maintain and improve competitive positing by effectively identifying, understanding and responding to market needs. You will respond to client demands and ensure quality service. You will provide general direction management staff, marketing and sales personnel and bid/proposal staff. Typical responsibilities also include identifying market potential, develop and implement sales and marketing strategy, analyze marketing research and sales statistics, estimate, volume, growth potential and developing realistic forecasts and projections. You will also oversee advertising and promotional activities, and coordinate sales services with other divisions. You will also provide support in the negotiating and administration of contracts. You will maintain relationships with key Strategic and Tier 1 clients and vendors by making period visits, and perform other duties generally associated with being a senior member of the management staff.
