Our client, a rapidly growing industry leader, has an immediate need for a staff accountant. The staff accountant will report directly to the controller, and be primarily responsible for maintaining corporate general ledger accounts, as well as processing corporate accounts payable and payroll. While this company is growing fast, they still take the time to engage their employees. Through regular performance reviews, cross-training, and responsive management, they are able to retain a high percentage of their people. Duties include: - Processing corporate accounts payable.
- Processing payroll.
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
- Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
- Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Assisting the controller as needed.
Candidates for the staff accountant position should have 4+ years of recent general ledger accounting experience. Hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred, but not required.
