Pipe Recovery Engineer II

Job Summary

The Field Engineer II is directly responsible for the delivery of pipe recovery & well intervention services at the well site, in terms of safety, quality and operational efficiency. This position manages the preparation and dispatch of equipment and the execution of services in the field.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on wellsite activities
  • Determines and develops resolution to an assortment of problems encountered at the wellsite of moderately complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Responsible for the minor maintenance of equipment and assisting in actuating the completions equipment
  • May be the primary contact to work with the Client Representative and drill crew on location to coordinate operations at the rig
  • Provides a record of all assemblies as run at the well site to the Client Representative and promotes and maintains good customer relations
  • Executes all required responsibilities safely and as described in Managing Base Operations, Managing Well Operations, and Managing Equipment and Logistics manuals
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance with HSE policies and Legal Compliance requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity and experience with Wireline Tractors
  • Ability to alternate methods of completing tasks if the set method is not viable Communicate with various clients and must have good customer service skills
  • Quickly adjusts to changing job assignments/requirements Desired Characteristics
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility satisfactorily and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Skill Level Working knowledge and the ability to perform duties with minimal direction
  • Patience and the ability to work with others also play a vital role in the teamwork required to complete these tasks successfully.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) is REQUIRED
  • Industry experience and product line training

Professional Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Wireline Pipe Recovery Operations is REQUIRED

Licenses, Certificates, Credentials, and Other Requirements

  • Must have and maintain a valid state issued CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with hazmat endorsement.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Employee Possessor issued by the ATF (Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms).
  • A satisfactory driving record per company policies and background with no felonies are also required for this job.
  • MUST LIVE IN OR BE READY TO RELOCATE TO DICKINSON, ND

Work Hours

  • Rotation Schedule
  • Work hours are determined by job specifics. Can be up to 12 hours a day and typically Monday to Friday with some weekend work.
  • May be required to stay on location over night for extended periods.
  • There may also be a requirement to visit and work at other company locations.
