5+ years experience in an engineering, senior operations, or other technical role in a petroleum refinery or chemical processing facility.
Strong background and knowledge of the principles of process safety management as regulated by OSHA.
Supervisory experience is a plus.
Company is a petroleum refiner with multiple locations in the northern Rocky Mountain region. This Process Safety & Investigations Manager will lead the development and implementation of Process Safety Management policies and procedures. A sample of responsibilities includes:
Develop and maintain a staffing plan for the Process Safety & Investigations Department.
Develop and manage an operating budget for the department.
Assure compliance with OSHA, Process Safety Management regulations and Refinery National Emphasis Program actions.
Develop reporting systems to track process safety indicators.
Identify areas that offer the most opportunity for process safety improvement, and develop/implement plans with input from all refinery disciplines.
Develop Process Safety Management competencies across all the refinery departments.
Plan for professional development of Process Safety & Investigations staff.
