Leading manufacturer located near Boulder, CO has an immediate need for an RF PA (Radio Frequency Power Amplifier) Design Engineer with experience designing and testing high power amplifiers in the 1000 W to 15 kW range and RF design experience in the 10 to 1000 MHz frequency range.
Responsibilities:
-> Design and development of high power amplifiers (1000 W to 15 kW) -> RF design in the 10 to 1000 MHz frequency range -> Working with FETs (Field Effect Transistors) and discreet components technology -> Simulation, analysis, and layout of power amplifiers -> Utilization of advanced CAD tools (PSpice, etc.) -> Team leadership - direct and mentor engineers and cross-functional colleagues -> Work with customers to understand requirements and provide application solutions
Requirements:
-> BSEE (MSEE and PhD preferred) -> 12+ years experience designing and testing high power amplifiers in the 1000 W to 15 kW range -> 12+ years RF design experience in the 10 to 1000 MHz frequency range -> Analog control loop experience -> Analog filter design experience -> Experience with matching networks -> Experience with thermal analysis, mechanical packing, and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) related skills -> Experience with advanced CAD tools (PSpice, etc.) -> Approximately 10% international travel
