IMMEDIATE NEED! A global telecommunications company requires an EXPERT LEVEL RF ENGINEER to conduct highly complex network design, development, and/or configuration activities in it?s Los Angeles area office. If you are an Alcatel/Lucent RNC EXPERT and can be the SME for an experienced group of engineers this is excellent contract assignment. Responsibilities:
-> Performance management counters must be thoroughly understood including flow control, load control, call processing, processor utilization, and packet data handling
-> Develops, implements and maintains engineering standards and practices
-> Develops standardized network engineering methods and procedures, evaluates highly complex network engineering activities
-> Implements process re-engineering activities
-> Designs highly complex network systems
-> Analyze ALU-RNC call models, Key Performance Indicators & statistics, provide trend analysis
-> Promote standardization in the areas of RNC performance measurement and scoring
Requirements:
-> Proven expertise with ALU UMTS RNCs is required along with a thorough understanding of the architecture and engineering
-> At least 5 years in wireless telecommunications with Lucent wireless service vendor. At least 3 years in an engineering role. National network performance experience is highly desirable
-> Proven knowledge of engineering principles and wireless telecommunication systems for both voice and data
-> Fluency in UMTS, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, TCP/IP, ATM, and VoIP technologies is required
-> Proven track record with the ability to research, compile, and analyze data required for network performance reporting
-> Knowledge of T1/DS1, T3/DS3, OC-n, SONET, DWDM, VoIP, call routing, SS7 Signaling
