Leading global manufacturer seeks a skilled RF Engineer in Southern California (Torrance area). Local candidates preferred. Candidates must have Waveguide antenna feed systems / subsystems design engineering experience using Ansoft HFSS and/or WaspNet software.
Responsibilities:
-> Assist and participate in the research, design and development of passive RF microwave components and antenna feed systems
-> Use electromagnetic concepts, advanced mathematical techniques, and antenna theory to design and analyze components and subsystems at various microwave frequency bands
-> Employ two-dimensional and three-dimensional electromagnetic software tools for the design and analysis of antenna feed problems
-> Develop computer codes for electromagnetic analysis of feed components using the techniques of Method of Moments, Finite Difference Time Domain, Mode Matching
-> Participate in project design review and review test reports
-> o Discuss and resolve customer problems related to product performance
Requirements:
-> BSEE or Bachelors Degree in RF Engineering (Communications, Electromagnetics, or related fields)
-> 2 to 5 years of RF Microwave industry or satellite communications systems experience
-> 2 years designing passive microwave components using Ansoft HFSS and/or WaspNet
-> Minimum 2 years of measurements of RF components and antennas in the microwave or millimeter-wave frequency ranges
-> Understanding of antenna RF systems requirements
-> Fully conversant with microwave filter designs from 1 through 100 GHz
-> Able to generate and use existing and new analyses and associated software for the design and the predicted performance of complete antenna feeds
-> Good background in engineering mathematics
