Excellent opportunity for a large scale power generation-transmission Project Engineer with a leading energy company in the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities:
-> Project management support of process and data pertaining to multiple large scale power generation/transmission projects
-> Ensures assigned personnel coordinate activities with other project participants and that contract requirements are satisfied
-> Responsible project phases include site acquisition, conceptual planning, permitting, engineering, design, construction and commercial operation
-> Supervises third-party services and studies (includes project technical definition, development of functional specs, electrical transmission interconnection studies, and development-related engineering activities)
Requirements:
-> BS in engineering (electrical/power transmission systems specialization preferred)
-> MS, PE license or other advanced credentials are a plus
-> 5 - 10 years experience in power project development for large scale electrical generation projects
-> Fluency in Spanish a plus
-> Conventional or concentrating solar-thermal power generation background (not photo voltaic) experience is desired
-> 30% travel, including some international
-> Local to general Los Angeles area preferred
