Industrial Project Manager needed ASAP. A leader in increasing the output of gas turbine facilities is actively searching for a Industrial Project Manager in the Houston, TX. area. Role is to provide management of all assigned projects specifically turbine inlet chilling (TIC) and industrial chilling projects worldwide. Qualified applicants MUST HAVE gas turbine power generation experience to be considered.
Responsibilities:
-> Be the customer advocate to accurate and on-time delivery
-> Involved in project from cradle to grave, including proposal, project award, engineering & fabrication, construction, and startup to close-out phases
-> Problem identification and resolution by highlighting these areas and assisting other departments in solving issues, which affect project performance
-> Provide assistance to Proposal Department providing construction cost interface from Installation Contractor, manage preliminary design process for solicitation of bids from installation contractors & suppliers
-> Work closely with master scheduler, manage all project written/verbal communication, & all internal project related documentation resources
Requirements:
-> MUST HAVE Gas Turbine power generation experience to be considered
-> Minimum 10 years experience in Project Engineering or Project Management with significant level of experience in a packaged equipment type of environment
-> Bachelor degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program, P.C. license would be a plus (military leadership and/or technical work experience will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree)
-> Have industrial HVAC, energy service contracting (ESCO), or central refrigeration plant experience
-> Project cost estimating, project management, construction management, and familiar with insurance and bonds
-> Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and database usage. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
-> Sound knowledge of business management principles, practices and procedures and strong negotiations skills
-> Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA Standards
-> Extensive travel to both domestic and international job sites
