Large Construction and Engineering firm located in Tallahassee, Florida is actively searching for an Instrument Designer with Process Control Design experience for PLC and DCS systems.
Responsibilities:
-> Process Control Design for PLC and DCS Systems
-> Develop project scopes for construction estimates and design effort hours estimates
-> Specify and Purchase instrumentation per plant standards
-> Design and produce P&I Drawings of mill systems
-> Performs audits of combustion safety systems
-> Performs hands-on design and preparation of drawings using CAD software
-> Update and report project schedules on regular basis
-> Provide technical information to construction, client engineering, and operating modules
-> Maintain open communication with construction, client engineering, and operating modules
Requirements:
-> Between five and ten years total experience in Instrument Design preferably in Pulp and Paper Industry
-> Experience with PLC and DCS systems (Modicon and Honeywell preferred)
-> Completions of technical or engineering program in Instrument Design would be a plus
-> Experience using Microstation or AutoCad software programs for production of drawings
-> Experience using Microsoft family of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
