Our client, an international consulting practice is actively searching for a Senior-Principal Geochemist to consultant on North American and International geological projects from their Anchorage, Alaska office.
Responsibilities:
-> Will consult on projects for North American and International clients
-> Include tasks such as managing and undertaking studies related primarily to the mining industry inclusive of State & Federal project permitting for operations, reclamation and closure as well as acting as a Specialist consulting for assignments such as due diligence assessments
-> Create and maintain client relationships and work in a team environment
Requirements:
-> MS or PHD qualification in geology, geochemistry, geological engineering, hydrogeology or mineral process engineering
-> 10+ years of demonstrated leadership, technical writing, presentation skills and project management experience
-> Ability to design programs to characterize potential for acid rock drainage and metal leaching (ML/ARD), including application of geochemical testing methods for ML/ARD and prediction of water chemistry
-> Experience with thermodynamic modeling programs (eg PHREEQE, MINTEQ, GWB)
-> Eligible for professional registration
-> Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-> Big Plus+++Experience working and or living in the Alaska environment
