Job Description:
We are working with a customer in Fort Wayne, IN that is seeking an Electrical Development Engineer for a 12 month contract position. We have 3 positions available. Must have the ability to lead projects within the Electrical functional area. Including ones that go across multiple disciplines ie Electronics, Software, Harnessing and Test.
B.S.M.E. degree or equivalent engineering degree. 3-5+ years experience in ground transportation vehicle product development and testing. Preferrably electrical systems. Ability to travel overnight 10-15. Only U.S. Citizenship OR Lawful Permanent Resident Status will be considered for this position.
Desired Skills:
Technical experience to include test instrumentation and equipment, data acquisition systems, analysis tools, conclusion formulation and recommendation development. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team working in a technical environment. Demonstrated use of project management tools for schedule, resource control and budgeting. Experienced in and has a thorough understanding of vehicle systems and system validation, preferrably electrical systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse multi-functional engineering team. Experienced in planning and has the ability to organize work, set priorities and handle multiple assignments. Knowledge of company systems, policies, procedures, processes and methods, especially those specific to the Product Development Processes and/or related processes. Has the ability to use problem-solving techniques to reach consensus on decisions. Active participation in Professional Technical Societies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint, Access, etc.) Other Skills: Ability to lead projects within the Electrical functional area. Including ones that go across multiple disciplines ie Electronics, Software, Harnessing and Test.
