Job Description:
The selected candidate must meet the following criteria: 1. Knowledge of structural materials and strain-based fatigue 2. Experience interfacing with 3D design software, particularly Unigraphics 3. Knowledge of experimental stress measurement and data acquisition methods 4. Experience using UNIX or Linux operating systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and other Windows PC-based software, the Internet and programming languages 5. Ability to work in a global team environment 6. Truck product knowledge 7. Experience with advanced analysis techniques, such as non-linear FEA in Abaqus and/or LS-Dyna, and optimization analysis 8. Ability to understand/coordinate/use Applied Mechanics Lab test results 9. Initiative and persistence in problem solving 10. Advanced degree in Engineering/Structural Mechanics. Other skills -
BSME or equivalent engineering degree and at least 3 years of experience performing structural analyses using HyperWorks and Nastran. Must be able to obtain ITAR clearance (should be US citizen or legal permanent resident).
