DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
Flint Hills Resources is actively seeking

our Port Arthur chemical plant, where we produce
cyclohexane, ethylene and propylene, which are sold on

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Role: FHR Employee

II. Role: Environmental Monitoring Technician/
Production Specialist Reliability
Responsibilities: To perform LDAR policies and
procedures following tasks in assigned Reliability
Center.
-- Collecting process and environmental samples
-- Daily instrument monitoring calibrations
-- Monitoring all components as per Method 21
-- Routine repair and maintenance of analyzers
-- Quarterly certification of analyzers
-- Coordinate LDAR field activities with LDAR contract
technicians
-- Maintain and complete monitoring schedules
-- Repair leaking components
-- Generate work requests and follow-up on LDAR
maintenance repairs
-- Conduct routine QA/QC audits on contractor work
-- Maintain recordkeeping on monitoring and repairs
-- Complete MOCs in assigned area
-- Maintain identification of LDAR components and
applicability reviews
-- Generate any reports needed by internal ( Koch) or
external (EPA, TNRCC) customers
Expectations: To ensure compliance, sustainability,
quality assurance, and emissions reduction in assigned
RC.
-- Knowledge of Federal and State Fugitive Emissions
Regulations
-- Working knowledge of LDAR Software
-- Assure the completion of all monitoring required
-- Maintain identification of LDAR equipment (tagging
and applicability review)
-- Coordinate repair of leaking equipment
-- Query data from database for reliability or
maintenance issues
-- Interface with the following groups on LDAR issues
a) Environmental Engineering
b) Process Engineering
c) PSRs
d) PSSs
e) Environmental Contractors
f) Planner/Schedulers
g) Assist T/A Planning on LDAR repairs
Requirements:
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Along with a commitment to integrity and compliance,
qualified candidates will demonstrate strong verbal,
written, and PC skills. The qualified candidate will
have 5 + years of industrial maintenance experience
(e.g. general maintenance, fugitive emissions
monitoring, instrumentation, etc) or 3+ years refinery
maintenance experience. They also must have a working
knowledge of fugitive monitoring systems.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Some
college required
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
A.A.S. Industrial Technology
PHYSICAL DEMANDS or UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Some
climbing, lifting, respirator use, able to lift 50
pounds for short periods or time, typical plant working
environment
