Responsibilities and expectations include: Concept creation, thermal and hydraulic analysis, and basic mechanical design of
Koch Heat Transfer (KHT) advanced heat transfer equipment that includes specialized shell and tube equipment, hairpin exchangers and tank heating equipment. Duties also include direct interface and working efforts with customers. Collaborate with internal and external resources to design best product in terms of cost, performance, manufacturability, reliability and quality. Seeks and identify product improvements. Support products through all phases of design and interface with customers as needed to define the design specifications.

Requirements:

Minimum of three years experience in thermal design of shell and tube equipment. Skilled and knowledgeable in the application of heat transfer analysis methods and theory. Skilled in general engineering analysis, development, documentation, and communication. Must be a self-starter who can work independently and obtain milestone driven results, combined with good oral and written communication skills and creativity in a team based work environment. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.  Preferred 3-5 years experience in thermal design of shell and tube equipment or hairpin equipment. 3-5 years experience in manufacturing business environment Experience with HTRI and/or HTFS software is preferred. Working knowledge of ASME code.  Education BS in Engineering (Prefer Mechanical or Chemical Engineering)
